Our aim when completing any step of the commercial solar installation process, is to cause as little disruption and downtime to our client’s business operations as possible.
What does the Amanda Energy commercial solar installation process involve?
1. Initial consultation
Our Solar Manager will start by gathering information about your business operations and the level of power it requires. This will involve visiting your work site and conducting a thorough physical assessment. This site assessment will include looking at things like solar exposure, possible modular mounting, structural issues and electrical interconnection options.
Once we have determined the level of power your workplace requires and what kilowattage of solar energy is needed, we can begin drafting an agreement proposal. This proposal will cover all the financial aspects and the term length of contract.
Once the proposal has been accepted and the contract has been signed, we will begin to design your solar system.
4. Approval of plans
During the design period, we will also be working with the necessary third parties to ensure all the electrical interconnections are planned safely and have the required certification to be installed. This includes applying for a Retailer Reference Number (RRN) from your current electricity retailer, usually taking 1 – 7 days.
Once the RRN has been received, we will apply for approval by Western Power to connect the system to the network. This stage takes approximately 3-4 weeks.
Once the approval from Western Power has been obtained, the materials will be delivered on site and installation will begin. The installation process should take approximately 6 – 8 weeks, depending on the speeds of Western Power’s approval.
How long does it take?
The entire commercial solar installation process takes approximately 2-3 months, from accepting and signing the proposal to installation completion.
