Fremantle Sailing Club

Fast Facts

The Company:  Fremantle Sailing Club

The Challenge: To install solar and reduce overheads that helps reduce fees for our members. Adding Solar PV was deemed very difficult due to the asbestos roof and limited roof space. In addition, blackouts were a major problem for the club.

The Approach: Amanda Energy took the time to meet with the Club’s committee and staff to understand their unique circumstances. The Amanda team carefully analysed the power situation and designed the system to address roof constraints to adhere to the club’s requirements.

The Solution:  The 40kW commercial solar system was installed during weekends to avoid disruption to members. Amanda Energy is the only Perth solar company that can fully analyse electricity, design and install the commercial solar system on the asbestos roof. The use of high output panels maximised yield with the limited roof space.

The Results:  Amanda was already the Perth electricity provider and coupled with Demand Side Management, Amanda funded a diesel generator for blackout contingency. Adding a cash positive Solar PV system completed Amanda’s holistic approach to reducing energy costs at no expense to the club.

“My focus is to serve our members”.
